St Mary The Virgin Church, Ringmer
No one knows precisely how old the beautiful St Mary the Virgin church in Ringmer in East Sussex, UK is, but it's history dates back to at least 1233. It's one I have driven past on the way from my home in Battle to where I used to do voluntary work for the charity Mind in Lewes many times, but had never stopped to have a proper look. I was staying with somebody in Ringmer, just around the corner from the church recently and it gave me the perfect opportunity to finally have a close look and explore the grounds of the church. It was a rather cold and grey day on my visit to the St Mary the Virgin church, so decided to convert these to black and white and give them a boost to the settings, which I think works well with buildings like churches. I hope to go back and photograph the inside as well one day.
