1066 Walk Of The Dead / Hastings Zombie Day
1066 Walk Of The Dead 2017
This year on the 28th of October at the start we had the people from the Tomboogie Exercise Classes there performing a really great dance routine to Michael Jackson's Thriller. Before they all grouped together to do the walk, which was lead by the Section 5 Drummers, who were also in costume and sounding great as always.
1066 Walk Of The Dead 2016
On Saturday the 29th of October 2016 there was the annual Hastings Zombie walk event or 1066 Walk of the dead to give it it's correct title. A day when the walking dead really do walk the streets of Hastings, ok hopefully most of the Zombies are actually alive and well humans, but the special effects makeup is so good on some of these walking dead that I'm not always sure if we have a few real Zombies joining in for the fun of it.
2016 Pre Zombie Walk Photos
These are the pre Zombie walk photos from the 1066 Walk of the Dead, held every year in Hastings on the last Saturday in October. I've been three times now, but sadly missed the 2015 one as I already had tickets to Wyntercon cosplay event and they were on the same day. For this one day of the year ( Saturday the 29th of October 2016 this year ) the streets of Hastings in East Sussex are invaded by hundreds of the walking dead.
Thriller Dancers On The Pier 2016
As part of the 1066 Walk of the Dead / Hastings Zombie Day event on the 29th of October 2016 there was a group of people that got together on Hastings pier to perform the Thriller dance made famous by Michael Jackson. The dancers were really great and performed the Thriller dance very well. There were only five dancers, but all parts of the Zombie walk are getting better every year, so hopefully there will be more dancers for next year.
